The MoneyWeek map: Where do Britain's super-rich live?

Earlier this year, high net-worth specialists WealthInsight released data on where Britain's multi-millionaires (Those with net assets of $30m or more) live. The top ten cities are listed on the map.

London has the largest overall number, but Aberdeen has the most multi-millionaires per head, just ahead of London on this measure.

    Aside form inaccuracies such as intimating the combined populations of Manchester and Glasgow are only 1 million this is a depressing map. The ten cities covered account for only one sixth of the UK population. It suggests there could be as many as 30,000 folk worth well over £20 million each. Or that 0.05% of the population has over 10% of national wealth, or 230 times the average.
