TechMARK movers: NXT up on product launch
NXT was today's best riser after the flat speaker technology company said that wireless mobile phone accessories provider Parrot has launched a NXT-equipped Bluetooth hands-free kit.
"We are delighted to be working with Parrot, the market leader for wireless phone accessories, and look forward to developing our relationship with them," said chief executive Peter Thoms.
"Each new NXT-based product introduction should be considered as another incremental step towards the company's objective of sustained growth and profitability," he added.
Shares in Corin continued their steep fall following yesterday's announcement that full-year revenues from the group's US business are unlikely to be more than £10m after partner Stryker said it will not buy any further instrumentation and implants from the group until December.
"The lower level of anticipated sales to Stryker in 2008 is clearly disappointing but we, as does Stryker, remain confident that the potential for Cormet in the world's largest orthopaedic market is substantial," said chief executive Peter Huntley.
The orthopaedic devices firm added that its business outside of the US has continued to trade in line with expectations.
