Modest like-for-like rise at Marshalls
Landscape products group Marshalls saw a slight gain in like-for-like revenue in the first four months of 2008.
Total revenue increased 3% to £135m in the first four months of the year from £130m in the corresponding period of 2007, with like-for-like revenue 1% higher.
The company now has eight Display Centres around the country, five more than last year, and plans to open another two this year.

In the first quarter of 2008 the company banked a profit of £1m on the sale of two surplus properties for £10m.
The company said it will continue to focus on cash management this year as it proceeds with its development plans.
“Our comprehensive distribution network give us confidence for the future,” the company said.
