Thursday Preview: Vedanta, BT, Luminar
Vedanta's full year results are expected to show $2.821bn in pre-tax profits. The market will also be looking out for any indication of progress in the mining giant's attempts to buy minority stakes in the Indian metal groups BALCO and Hindustan Zinc.
BT's full year figures are expected to show a dip in profits to £2.37bn from £2.48bn last year.
Luminar, the owner of the Oceana, Liquid and Lava nightclub chains, is tipped to report pre-tax profits of £30m in its preliminary results. Last month, the company quashed speculation that it is engaged in discussions with a third party to arrange a management buy-out.
