Visual Defence bags two contracts
Video surveillance operator Visual Defence saw its shares surge Monday morning as it announced two new contract wins.
The company has won a contract worth C$0.87m from the Montreal Transit Corporation to integrate video analytics with the existing video surveillance system.
The second contract is for C$1.5m from the Norwegian State Railway corporation to provide a mobile video surveillance and recording solution for some 200 three-carriage trains. The project is expected to expand over time, the company said.

Both contracts commence from May.
The contract wins follow on from a partnership agreement announced at the end of April whereby Israeli IT company Taldor agreed to distribute and support Visual Defence’s integrated security solutions in Israel.
The company said the partnership with Taldor would enable it to reduce its cost base while retaining a presence in the region.
