Aggreko wins Vancouver Olympics contract
Temporary power and temperature control supplier Aggreko has won a contract from the organising committee of the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games/
Aggreko will provide temporary power and temperature control equipment at all of the venues throughout the 2010 Vancouver games, including the press centres and the villages in which the competitors will stay.
Aggreko has previously been responsible for temporary power at the Atlanta 1996 Summer Olympic Games and the Salt Lake City 2002 Winter Olympic Games and is currently installing over 135 megawatts of temporary power for the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing.

"'Successfully staging the 2010 Winter Games requires an enormous amount of behind-the-scenes work and equipment including the temporary power and temperature regulation," said Dave Cobb, executive vice-president of Revenue, Marketing and Communications for the Vancouver Organising Committee.
"With Aggreko's vast experience providing temporary power to past Olympic Games and other major events, we can't think of a better company to help us deliver smooth, seamless Games that will inspire our nation and a global television audience of three billion," Cobb added.
