Fayrewood ends talks with North Atlantic Value

Computer distribution group Fayrewood has ended discussions with North Atlantic Value on a possible takeover by the fund manager.

Fayrewood said in December that it was talking to North Atlantic about a possible takeover. "These discussions have been terminated," Fayrewood said today.

"The board proposes to continue exploring methods of returning the maximum amount of capital to shareholders in the most tax efficient, timely and cost effective manner that is practical."

Fayrewood said trading at its only business Interface Solutions was continuing to improve. "While it is still very early in the year, the board expects the results for that business to be in line with their expectations," it added.
