Galiform finance boss takes stake
Galiform's chief financial officer Mark Robson spent more than £100,000 on shares in the kitchen furniture supplier today.
He took 132,385 shares at 77.5p, having previously had no stake in the company.
Shares in Galiform, which owns Howden Joinery and Howden Kitchens, have fallen by around half in the past year, amid fears of softening demand.
However, last month the company said profits surged 39.5% in 2007 and that trading started satisfactorily in the first part of 2008.
Pre-tax profit increased to £79.8m from £57.2m the previous year on revenue that rose to £976.5m from £733m. The revenue increase reflected the increased sales of Howden Joinery depots and higher sales to MFI and Hygena Cuisines.
