Admiral founder takes more shares
Henry Engelhardt, chief executive and founder of insurer Admiral, bought 24,000 shares in the company today, spending nearly £200,000.
He paid 830p for each share and now has 40.49m shares in the company, or a total stake of 15.4%.
Engelhardt launched Admiral in Swansea in 1993 with the aim of selling car insurance to people who traditionally had difficulties getting it cheaply, such as city-dwellers, young drivers and drivers of fast cars.
