Du Plessis lifts stake at Lloyds TSB
Lloyds TSB board member Jan du Plessis spent almost £180,000 on shares in the bank yesterday.
Du Plessis, who is also chairman of British American Tobacco, bought 40,000 shares at 446.75p a share, taking his holding in the company to 50,000 shares.
Lloyds TSB's shares have lost more than a fifth of their value in the past year.
Last month the bank reported a 6% fall in full-year profits to £4bn from £4.25bn.
Elsewhere, Playgolf announced that its chairman Michael Mealey mistakenly bought 145,170 shares in the golf course operator for 8p each through his SIPP on January 31, only to sell them for 3p a go on 29 February.
His total loss from the two transactions was £7,261.
