More Emap bosses sell stakes

Directors at magazine publisher Emap sold large stakes in the company for the second day in a row.

Chief executive Derek Carter sold 48,462 shares for 925.5p each, or a total of £448,516, while board member David Rough sold 13,750 shares at the same price for a total of £127,256.

Both now have no shares in the company.

The sales come the day after chairman Alun Cathcart offloaded all of his stake, selling 21,613 shares at 924p each. On the same day, finance director Ian Griffiths sold 10,000 shares at 925p each and 7,153 at 924p, leaving him with 1,379 shares.

Emap last month agreed to sell its business arm to Apax and Guardian Media for £1.1bn and its consumer and radio arms to Heinrich Bauer for a total consideration of £1.14bn.
