Colin Halpern, non-executive vice-chairman of Domino's Pizza, disposed of 2m shares in the company yesterday, cutting his holding to 13,007,328 shares, or around 8% of the company.

He sold the shares, which were held by HS Real Company, a trust for his children, for 206p each, or a total of £4.12m.

Domino's reported on Tuesday that 2007 profits rose by a third from the year before, helped by a rise in the number of customers ordering pizza over the internet.

Pre-tax profits rose to £18.7m in 2007, from £14.1m in 2006, as sales jumped to £296.3m from £240.1m.
