Low and Bonar bosses buy in after strong results
Directors at flooring and fabric specialist Low and Bonar bought into the company today as its results for the year to November 30 sent the share price sharply upwards.
Chief executive Paul Forman bought 105,000 shares at 105p a share, or a total of £110,250. Finance director Kevin Higginson took 19,402 shares for 102p a share, or a total of £19,402.
Forman now has 454,992 shares in the company, a total stake of 0.29%, while Higginson now owns 103,640 shares, or 0.067%.
Shares in the company jumped today after it said pre-tax profits climbed by 52% to £22.4m. The group said it was optimistic for the future and did not expect to be adversely impacted by a downturn.
Company chairman Duncan Clegg said: "Our end markets - with their negligible exposure to any downturn in consumer confidence - continue to look resilient."
