New Morse boss takes stake
IT services group Morse's new chairman Kevin Loosemore bought 400,000 shares in the company today, paying a total of £212,000 or 53p a share.
The purchase gives Loosemore a 0.31% stake in the company.
Morse, which helps businesses set up and operate IT and telecommunications systems, announced Loosemore's appointment on Wednesday as it released its interim results.
The company said a £4m reduction in distribution costs helped it to lift pre-tax profit for the half year to £6.4m from £3.7m before, even as revenue fell to £123.8m from £131.6m.
Loosemore, who replaced Richard Lapthorne at Morse, is also chairman of software company Micro Focus.
