Paypoint bosses offload stakes
Directors at electronic payment services group PayPoint sold millions of pounds worth of shares in the company today, following the release of a positive interim statement.
Chairman David Newlands sold 290,143 shares for over £1.7m and chief executive Dominic Taylor sold 129,239 shares for just under £778,000.
Newlands now owns just 5,000 shares in the company, while Taylor sold his entire stake. They sold the shares for 600p each.
Paypoint, whose services include bill payments at convenience stores, said this morning that the integration of the newly acquired internet payment and Romanian businesses is going well.
In the period from 1 October 2007 the company has seen the number of its terminal sites increase by 3.3% to 23,380 from 22,624. The number of sites at the recently acquired Romanian business has risen by 8.1% over the same period to 3,899.
