Datatec founder increases stake
Jens Montanana, chief executive and founder of the South Africa-based hardware firm Datatec, bought 250,000 shares in the company today at Rs27.25 or 179p a share, at a total cost of £447,500.
The purchase takes his holding in the company to around 11.37m shares, with an approximate value of £20.46m.
Datatec said last month that trading in the first four months of the second half of the financial year had been much stronger than the first six months, helped by restructuring in its subsidiary Logicalis.
Montanana, a UK national, founded Datatec in 1986.
