Regal director increases stake
Francesco Scolaro, a director at AIM-listed oil and gas producer Regal Petroleum, bought 50,379 shares in the company today, paying 138p a share, or a total of £69,523.
Together with his 1,448,067 shares held in the company through derivatives or economic instruments, the purchase brings Scolaro's interest in the company to 1.03%.
Regal said last month it was being investigated by the LSE for allegedly breaking AIM rules relating to disclosure of price sensitive information during a drilling project at an oil prospect in the Aegean Sea from 2003 to 2005.
Regal is now focussed on gas production in the Ukraine and oil and gas exploration in Romania and Egypt.
Scolaro, a qualified lawyer, is an investor in companies across the resource, leisure and property sectors.
