Structural steel supplier Severfield-Rowen's director David Ridley has bought into the company, taking 50,000 shares at 261.38p each, or a total of £130,690.

Shares in Severfield, which supplies steel to projects such as new stadiums and shopping centres, tumbled 40% on Thursday as it cautioned that it had seen demand soften in the early part of 2008.
