Bosses buy in after Oakdene plunge
Oakdene Homes lost a quarter of its value Wednesday, prompting battered bosses to pick up stock in the beleaguered housebuilder.
Chief executive Carl Turpin bought 20,000 shares at 78p each and 5,000 at 75p, taking his interest to almost 4m shares, or 9.7% of the company.
Finance boss Robert Boot picked up 15,000 at 67.5p, while Design director Ronald Fender added 20,000 shares to his stash at 67p a share.
The group, focused on South East England, warned that 2007 pre-tax profit will be materially below market expectations.
It said profit would not be less than £5m following weak trading during the last three months of the year and a failure to complete two major transactions before the year end.
