Cape directors buy

This genius investor does dizzying levels of research to uncover...Half Price Shares!

Directors at Cape were in buying mood, with chief executive Martin May and non-executive director Sean O'Connor both dipping in after the support services group said earlier today that it expects full-year results to exceed current market expectations.

Martin May bought 5,000 shares at a price of 245.8p, while Sean O'Connor purchased 12,250 shares for 244.75p each.

The group said this morning that, following a record level of activity in the first half of 2007, trading across all of its operations has continued to be as strong with progress made in all key market sectors.

Sales in each of the regional business units have grown significantly year on year with each performing well ahead of expectations. All three of Cape's acquisitions in Australia are expected to make a positive contribution to the 2007 results.

The group now looks forward to a sustained period of strong organic growth, it added. Expected levels of utilisation for the first quarter of 2008 are high and the prospects for both the international energy and natural resources sectors in which Cape operates remain very encouraging.
