Sports Direct duo show faith
It's been an eventful week for Sports Direct, the sportswear firm run by controversial entrepreneur Mike Ashley.
After sliding yesterday on interim profits that showed underlying profits fell by 35.2% to £52m in the 26 weeks ended 28 October, they rallied today as its two most senior executive directors made their maiden purchases in the group.
Chief executive Dave Forsey bought 1m shares at 98.56p, for a total cost of £985,600. Finance director Bob Mellors also bought 1m shares at the same price. Both now own 1m shares each.
