ScS Upholstery's Browne in £½m buy
Chairman of troubled sofa retailer ScS Upholstery Mark Browne decided the firm's shares have fallen far enough as he ploughed £500,000 into the stock.
Browne, who paid £525,000 for 500,000 shares at 105p each, now owns 7.65m of them, or 22.57% of the company. They were trading above 500p in February.
Earlier this month the firm warned that a downward trend in sales order intake will have a significant adverse impact on sales and results for the half-year.
There was also buying activity at car retailer Inchcape where non-executive director Ken Hanna bought 25,000 at 393.50p each, taking his stake to 37,000 shares.
In October, the firm said its trading performance continues to be in line with expectations as like for like sales for the three months to September rose 3.3% and by 3.1% for the nine months.
