Findel chief doubles stake
Patrick Jolly, chief executive of Findel, has more than doubled his holding in the home shopping and education supplies firm only days after it posted record first half sales and profit.
Jolly bought 25,000 shares at 585p each, spending £146,250. He now holds 42,061 shares or 0.049% of the companies issued share capital.
Last week, Findel said it swung into pre-tax profits of £2.5m compared with a loss of £23m in the same period last year on sales that increased 33% to £298.3m.
The group has seen growth of sales via the internet, which now account for over 50% of divisional sales. In educational supplies it achieved growth despite challenging market conditions, and in Healthcare it has maximised revenue from existing contracts.
