Our website may include hyperlinks to other websites that are not operated or controlled by us. This policy only applies to our website and we are not responsible for the content or the privacy practices of third party websites.
Consent
When you subscribe for a product or service, register with our website and/or sign up for a free email service, we store your name and email address along with any other information you provide. This information may include, but is not limited to, details such as your name, email address, and, if you subscribe to MoneyWeek magazine or a subscription newsletter, your address.
By subscribing, registering and/or signing up, you agree to the collection, storage and processing of your information in the manner set out in this policy.
Data use
We use the information we collect from you to allow you - where applicable - access to the subscriber-only areas of the MoneyWeek website, to deliver your subscriptions and to send you our free emails (Money Morning, MoneyWeek Saver, and MoneyWeek Asia). We also use your data to improve the services we offer you. This may include asking third parties to conduct market research or trials of new features and services.
Unless you have opted not to receive offers, we also use your information to send you offers by email from us, and by post from us and other carefully selected outside companies. We do not give, rent or sell your email address to companies outside the MoneyWeek/Fleet Street Publications group. Companies in the MoneyWeek/Fleet Street Publications group are MoneyWeek Limited, Fleet Street Publications Limited, Agora Lifestyles Limited and Agora Inc.
Should you wish to unsubscribe from one of our free emails at any time, instructions on how to do so are included in every email. You can also send an email to cs@moneyweek.com, or contact us on 0207 633 3780 (9.00am - 5.30pm, Mon-Fri).
Any email you send to MoneyWeek Limited or any of our other publications is completely confidential. We will not add your name to our email list without your permission.
Data capture and processing
The data you provide is captured and processed on our behalf by our parent company, Agora Inc. Agora Inc is based in Baltimore in the United States. The US has no comprehensive data protection law, however Agora Inc. offers the same levels of protection for your information, including the security of the database on which your information is stored and the privacy of your information, that we offer in United Kingdom.
We will only disclose your data to other third parties if we are compelled to do so for legal or regulatory purposes.
Advertising in free emails
We fund our free emails (Money Morning, MoneyWeek Saver and MoneyWeek Asia) by taking advertising. There are two small ads in each free email, and then two or three times a week we will send you separate promotional emails, which will contain advertisements from us or from other companies.
By subscribing to any of our free emails, you are consenting to receive these promotions. We cannot send you a free email alone without the promotional emails.
Cookies
'Cookies' are text files which are sent via your browser to your computer and stored on your hard disk. They enable specific details about your visit to a website to be recorded, retrieved and analysed by the site during subsequent visits. Cookies do not identify individual users of sites (no personal data is stored, information entered by visitors is processed as outlined above), just the computer used. The information in them can't be used for any other purpose.
We use two website statistics packages - Google Analytics and WebTrends - to monitor pages of our website for us. They may use cookies and similar technology to compile anonymous statistics on things such as web traffic, statistics and advertisement 'click-throughs'.
